Access to the International Cosmetology College for people with special needs

 International Cosmetology College study programs in Health Care are implemented at the premises of Turiba University (Graudu street 68) and the Business Centre “Unity” (Vienibas gatve 109).

In this environment, everyone can easily move around and use spaces according to their intended use.

It is possible to enter Turiba University with a wheelchair independently. The door width of the building is suitable for wheelchair access. Access to the lecture rooms is made possible with a ramp. Students are provided with easy entrance in the building as well as adjusted bathrooms on the first floor of the school.

Getting to the second and third floor of the school is possible with an assistant that can be arranged by writing to info@skk.lv

The cafeteria is located on the first floor of the central building; its door width is adapted to the size of the wheelchair and allows for free access. The width of the doors in these spaces is greater than 0.9m.

Turiba University’s Library is accessible to people with special needs. The library is located on the 1st floor of the central building; access to the library’s rooms with a wheelchair is possible with a ramp. The tables on the ground floor of the reading room are suitable for use in wheelchairs.

The dormitory is suited for people with reduced mobility. Entrance in the building and mobility in the building is convenient for people with special needs. There is a specially equipped room – the door width allows for entrance with a wheelchair, the bathroom is adjusted.

The building and premises of the Unity Business Centre (Vienibas gatve 109), where training for “Therapeutic Massage” program students is organized, are easily accessible, there are adjusted bathrooms, elevators, etc.

There are 3 medical facilities in the premises – MFD and 2 Physiotherapy Cabinets, which were monitored by the relevant supervisory authorities and found to be in compliance with the requirements of the medical institution.
